

ABOUT JORDAN KRAMER

Jordan Kramer was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina. She was first introduced to ceramics while attending a visual and performing arts magnet high school. While attending Queens University of Charlotte for college, her exploration into the medium continued through an introduction to ceramics course. Through those courses she was introduced to woodfiring and magnetism of atmospheric firing.
In the Spring of 2020, she received her BA in Arts Leadership and Administration where she completed a thesis on the Stonewall Riots and its place in history as a turning point for Queer visualization in museum and gallery representation. In the Spring of 2021, she completed her BA in studio art where her focus was in sculptural ceramics.
She completed a two year residency at the Morean Center for Clay, in St. Petersburg, Florida, in August of 2023. Afterwards, she was hired as a resident technician at the clay center that she completed in August of 2024. She is currently residing in Charlotte, NC and working full time as a lead artist assistant for a local Charlotte artist.
