Topology Series

Topology is the study of spatial relationships of planes within geometric shapes. Without the infliction of violence there is continual change. My investigation parallels how we surrender to pressures and pleasures in life. By altering the qualitative properties of the tetrahedron I explore ideas of distortion vs. clarity and manipulation vs. control. Thixotropic properties of casting slip allow for manipulation of the original form. Warped tetrahedra express uncertainty and volatility.
